What types of businesses is Career Planner.com looking to partner with?

CareerPlanner.com is only interested in establishing affiliate programs with web sites involved in the following areas:

• Educational sites
• Job Boards
• Resume sites
• Career sites
• Self improvement sites
• Headhunter sites
• Human Resource sites
• Testing directories
• Test Review sites
• Career Planning and Counseling sites
• Career Coaching sites
• Executive Coaching sites
• Personality Type sites
• Outplacement sites

Its actually very simple. If you are in the business to help people with their careers, then we want to partner with you.

What type of sites will CareerPlanner.com refuse to affiliate with?

We are not interested in partnering with:

• Adult content sites
• Sites whose primary purpose appears to be building links for the purposes of increasing page rank
• Very low traffic sites
• Spam sites
• Sites that promote violence or racism

What does the affiliate program pay out?

The commission structure is quite simple. It's based on a percentage of the actual sale price. For a listing of the commissions click here.

How often does the program pay out?

The program pays quarterly. Funds are transferred to your PayPal account within 30 days of the end of a quarter.

The minimum payout amount is $100. Your commissions are accrued until they reach the minimum payout.

How do affiliates get paid?

We used to pay by check, but that was a lot of work.

We now pay by PayPal. Thus you must have a PayPal account.

This way we can send your commissions directly to your PayPal account.

What products are eligible for a referral fee?

How Will I Know If It's Working

You will receive an email whenever there is a sale resulting from traffic you sent via the affiliate link.

Allow 1 to 2 hours after an order is placed for the email to arrive. The email will be from Support@CareerPlanner.com. So please make sure your spam filters will allow it to come through.

You can also log in and run performance reports showing the success of your affiliate program.

How long does a referred visitor have to purchase a product before the referrer information is lost?

This varies depending on the visitors software configuration on their computer.

We place a cookie on the visitors computer that includes your affiliate code. These cookies are set to last for approximately one year.

If a visitor does not erase his/her cookies, then an affiliate would still get credit for the referral if the purchase is made within 364 days.

We believe one year is a very generous period. Most other affiliate programs offer 30 or 90 days.

If the visitor deletes the cookie before they place an order, then the referral information is lost.

If a visitor has their software set to block cookies, then an affiliate would earn a referral fee only if the visitor makes a purchase during the session immediately after following the link from the affiliate site to ours.

How many affiliate accounts can I set up?

You can have one affiliate account per email address. We suggest you keep it simple and use one affiliate account, regardless of how many web sites or blogs you own.
