Career Assessments and Reports
The two main assessments that career counselors like to use when helping someone decide on a career direction are the MBTI and the Strong.
This works for mid life career changers as well as high school students.
The Strong helps you identify your interests and then matches that with a list of careers.
The MBTI determines your personality type, which is to say, how you and your brain prefer to interact with the world. The MBTI also points to a list of careers that match each personality type.
Job and career satisfaction are very dependent on:
1) The work being interesting to you - "Do you have a passion for it?" (The Strong)
2) The work and environment being congruent with your personality type - "Are you a round peg trying to fit into a square hole?" (The MBTI)
