Job Description:

• 1) Off bears ropes of yarn from discharge end of yarn mercerizing, dyeing, or drying machine, or from machine that divides ball warps into smaller warps: Observes ropes of yarn as ropes coil onto cloth or fold into baskets or cartons to detect breaks or tangles in yarn.

• 2) Ties broken yarn ends to prevent tangling.

• 3) Signals machine tender to stop machine if yarn tangles.
