Description of ENTJs

ENTJ's have been described as the leader of leaders. Not just managers and supervisors, but the big boss, the Chief.

They are well suited for grasping complex situations, absorbing vast amounts of information and for being very decisive.

Their decisiveness, their ability to see future possibilities, and their outgoing nature add up to make them the leader of leaders.

Very confident in what they know and what they can do.

They enjoy debate and may appear argumentative at times.

More Chief Executive's (CEO) are ENTJ than any other type

ENTJ's make up about 3% of the population, so they are relatively rare, especially female ENTJ's which run only 1.5%. Males run 4.5%.

Outgoing, logical, objective, and intellectual, they may appear cold and hard to get close to.

ENTJs prefer careers where:
  • Management allows people to be self directed
  • There are several opportunities to demonstrate competence
  • The culture appreciates fair but tough decision making

  • The work allows you to utilize your natural ability to provide others with direction and supervision
  • The environment is more structured and disciplined, being on time and following procedure is considered important
